Triyoga
In 1980, the American Kali Ray or Kaliji, as her students call her, has experienced the state called «kriyavati» in Sanskrit. Influenced by the risen kundalini energy, her body started to move spontaneously and compose in a way that reminded the yoga asanas. This experience has inspired Kali Ray for Triyoga creation. The practice is a fluent flow of the alternating positions that are performed in the precise coordination with the breath. The wavelike spinal motion makes Triyoga similar to a slowmeditative dance.
The website triyoga.com defines Triyoga’s character in the following way: “That’s the science and art of the yoga flow. Its inseparable attributes are the fluent rhythmic breath, wavelike spinal movements, relaxation in motion and the motion economy— all that creates the continuous “seamless” flow, linking pranayama and mudra with dynamic kriyas and solid asanas for facilitating the flow of the prana—the life energy. The sequences in Triyoga are systematized from Basic to 7 Level by the all-inclusive method. Finally, Triyoga is the integration of the internal flow with the energy of the Universe.”
